Little Life Series

The blog is back! In this new world with new tech and new AI and all the new stuff, is a blog the new Throwback Thursday? Deciding to return to this format feels quaint, from another time, am I supposed to call this a substack now?

For my first post since 2020 (IYKYK) I want to share the creative outlet that reminded me I could draw in my own spare time. Without further ado, a lot of little drawings. At the end, enter my first ever raffle.

I originally started this series on paper, using Posca acrylic markers, which made the “make it tiny but precise” a quiet little thrill to get right – a few millimeters off made the consistency of the figures entirely unbelievable. At some point I switched to drawing these on the iPad because it made color and documentation way easier (taking photos of things on paper is no joke), plus I could erase to my hearts content (my main drawing superpower is erasing). Right between that switch from paper to digital art, I made a compilation of the spot illustrations into two real life posters.

ENTER MY FIRST EVER POSTER RAFFLE
