Sling Shot Extra Pale Ale is a seasonal summer beer by MacTarnahan’s Brewing Co. A character dashes by, hinting at a backstory that involves mischief and lots of it. Cool and hot colors recall the dry, dusty heat of summer that relents to a refreshing breeze as the evening wanes. Custom typography and illustration create a fully integrated feel to this working man’s beer.

Mister Museum


A curious M character with a perma-magnifying glass was created for Mister Museum, a venture for art and science literacy. The website was designed to purposefully show bite-sized chunks of information using file-system vernacular. Facts and diagrams were made for a mini-booklet that could be handed out instead of a business card to pique people’s interest in the project.

Well Vegan


Well Vegan makes it easier and cheaper to consistently follow a healthy, plant-based diet. They provide shopping lists, meal plans and home-tested recipes make sure you’ll have everything you need for each meal, without wasted food at the end of the week. Wholesome illustrations featuring the food front-and-center and an approachable subscription based website were created to peddle the Well Vegan system of meal planning.

Face Stuffer Guidebook


Best Places to Stuff Your Faces is a lovingly-curated insider’s guide to the most delicious, delightful and unique dining experiences in Portland, Oregon. The pocket-sized guidebook departs from the usual dry food reviews with personal, adventure-style storytelling.

Bar Gelato


This Italian gelato packaging and logo created for a test-launch in Central California helped the start up company exceed initial sales expectations by over 600%. Classic laid paper with scalloped edges wrap around a delicious bar while showing plenty of the natural product. The logo was created by hand to mimic vintage window signage.

Bandwaggon


Bandwaggon aims to make the process of selling one’s artwork (mainly, music) more fair by connecting fans directly with artists and letting fans helps artists succeed by sharing and promoting their work. In exchange, fans get a share of the profits – but only to a certain point; the artists always takes home the bulk of the profits. A direct artist-to-fan relationship, where they work together without the top 1% fleecing the socks off of everyone is summed up in Bandwaggon’s tagline “Where artists and fans unite”.

The Intertwine


The Intertwine is the Portland Metro area’s ever-growing network of parks, trails and natural areas. By connecting people to the nature around them, even in an urban environment, The Intertwine improves the daily lifestyle of Portland citizens. A modular “patchwork” design spans easily from web and print to signage applications. Iconic illustrations speak to the natural diversity The Intertwine offers and accessible, playful language evokes the simple pleasure of being outdoors.

Adidas Mega


Illustrations created for a 2011 Adidas in-store display and launch of a new line of shoes were inspired by a diner theme. Photography included BoB as a diner employee serving fresh Original Adidas Mega shoes diner customers. In-store displays included stainless refrigerator boxes to display the shoes.

Dipping Oils & Olives


Created as a specialty product line for Harry & David. A slim, ribbon-like label allows the product to shine through while the composition mimics the content’s tendency to separate towards the bottom of the bottle. Letters re-created from a 1930s type sample and a warm color palette add to the premium yet approachable feel.
